COIR PITH DISC

COIR PEAT -DETAILS

Detail your services

Coco Peat is the binding material that comes from the fiber portion of the husk and is also known as Coir pith or Coir dust is a by-product of extracting coir fiber from the husk of a coconut.  coco peat blocks The coir dust is washed, heat treated, screened and graded before being processed into various Coco peat products for horticultural/agricultural and as industrial absorbent. The compressed coco peat is converted into fluffy coco peat by adding water. One kilogram of compressed coco peat will expand to 15 liters of moist coco peat. The Coco peat by itself does not have any nutrients for plant growth. Necessary nutrients will have to be added according to the plant that is to be grown exclusively in coco peat. Coco peat is also mixed with sand, compost and fertilizer to make good quality potting soil.Coco peat blocks In horticulture, coco peat is recommended as substitute for peat because it is free from bacteria and fungal spores and is produced without any environmental damage caused by peat mining. Being a good absorbent, dry coco peat can be used as an oil absorbent on slippery floors. Coco peat is also used as bedding in animal farms, poultry farms and pet houses to absorb animal waste so as to keep the farm clean and dry. This coco peat dried in the natural sun, are processed to produce different items namely Coco peat block & coco peat briquettes. Coco peat is a 100% natural growing medium. Coco peat is a multi purpose growing medium that provides new opportunities for: Potting Mix Suppliers, Seedling Nurseries, Hydroponics Growers and Golf Green Constructors. The presence of organic compounds in Coco peat can results strong root growth compare with other growing medium. In addition it offers some natural resistance to plant diseases, so the plant live span will be long.

COIR POTS -DETAILS

Bio-degradable Coco / Coir Pots

The CoCo Coir Pot is a biodegradable cultivation pot made of plant(CoConut) fibers. It is used for horticulture, in ornamental plant, vine and tree nurseries, as well as for the domestic gardening market. It has exceptionally high permeability to water, air and roots. CoCo Coir Pot is used by those looking for faster cultivation, an excellent root system and re-establishment without any shock from transplanting.

Advantages:

The Coco Coir Pot is easily Bio Degradable and transforms into Organic Matter in due course Containers impermeable to roots all cause deformation to the roots. The severity of this depends on the shape of the pot and the development of the plants. The most common problem is coiling of roots, roots gathering in corners, roots growing upwards, crushed roots, etc. When plants are grown in a Coco/Coir Pot, the roots quickly penetrate the pot walls. Contact with the air stops the roots from growing, root buds start to appear and secondary roots start to develop throughout the pot. This phenomenon is known as "aerial root pruning". The volume of the pot is used 100% by a dense network of root hairs of the plant. In containers with impermeable walls, a few very long roots use all the area around the pot. When a plant grown in a Coco /Coir Pot is planted or re-potted, without removing the pot, the dormant root buds set during aerial containment are immediately activated. There is no shock from transplanting, this difference is particularly marked when ground conditions are difficult (cold, drought, adverse season, etc.). There is no deformity in the root system, the plant establishes easily and settles into the soil better. This is particularly important for perennials.

COIR BRISTLE FIBER

Description

Bristle coir is the longest variety of coir fibre. It is manufactured from retted coconut husk through a process of de-fibring. The coir fibre thus extracted is then combed using steel combs to make the fibre clean and to remove short fibres The stiff, straight and long strands of fibre are termed bristle fibre or brush fibre. The basic grade of bristle fibre is known as 1 Tie,  2 Tie and 3 Tie based on the length of strands, general condition of fibers, nature of extraction, colour, presence of long and short fibres, impurities etc.

Following are the the classifications

  • Tie-1: un-waxed, un-cut,un-bleached
  • Tie-2: Waxed, un-cut, un-bleached
  • Tie-3: waxed, cut, un-bleached
  • WHITE BLEACHED UNCUT & CUT
  • BLACK DYED UNCUT & CUT

Applications

  • Brush and broom manufacturing
  • Potting mixes,
  • Manufacturing of special filters,
  • Coir twine
